Jason Metzinger is a racer on a budget.  He does all his own work from building the engine and transmission to chassis fabrication and suspension work.  The car has been a work in progress since 2003 and Jason has invested about $7000 thus far.

After two years of hard work, Jason made it to US 41 dragway in the summer of 2006 for some testing.  Jason discovered that he had a lot to learn about doing the burnout, staging, and cutting a good light.  Jason spent the summer testing and tuning the car and enjoyed every trip to the drag strip.  There were many really nice people there who offered advice and support.
The car was slower than Jason had anticipated, but he'll keep working hard to make the car competitive.  Plans for 2007 include lowering the front end, installing tubular control arms, and if the budget allows, a gear change and set of aftermarket axles.
